Lawrence R. Harris, President and Chairman

Founder of AWC Packaging and Gold Coast, Mr. Harris graduated from Univ of Texas with a BS in Biology.  Upon graduation he started his sales career with Crown Zellerbach Co in Texas eventually settling in Orange County, Calif.  After serving 13 years in 3 different divisions of Crown Zellerbach, he started Western Way Distributing serving the agricultural community in Orange and Imperial counties.  AWC Packaging was formed in 1982 with emphasis on high end graphic design and printing distribution.  After years of supplying prime labels to his customers, Mr. Harris launched Gold Coast Graphics with his son Jeff. Gold Coast has become a highly respected award winning printer of pressure sensitive labels.  Since 2005 AWC  has become the dominant distributor of supplies and printed labels to Southern Calif wineries as well as many wineries in the central coast.  Mr. Harris has over 40 years of experience in the packaging industry.

Jeff Harris, Sr. Vice President, Sales & Marketing

As a principal partner of our company, Mr. Jeff Harris brings to Gold Coast an extensive marketing, sales and leadership background with over 14 years of experience in the packaging and labeling industries. As Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing, he is responsible for leading the Company's sales, marketing, business development, strategic initiatives and acquisition development. Jeff joined AWC Packaging in 1995 after completing his degree in Distribution Management from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. Focused on sales, Jeff helped grow AWC Packaging sales by 40% and in 1997 he partnered with Lawrence to start their first Label Manufacturing company, Gold Coast Graphics. Jeff's vision helped launch the company's Creative Division and fueled the addition of Digital Printing. Jeff is an avid skier and previously served as a member of the National Ski Patrol. Jeff also enjoys spending time with his family, working in his church and as a Boy Scout Leader.

David Crawford, VP Label Division & Director of Manufacturing

As the Director of Manufacturing, Mr. Crawford puts to use more than 20 years of label production & sales experience. David began his career as 14-year-old high school student working as a press helper for Blake Printery, a leading wine label supplier and commercial printer located in San Luis Obispo, California. He worked while attending college and upon graduation took a job in Sales for Blake Printery. He spent more than seven years working in sales and eventually attained the position of Senior Account Manager and earned "Salesman of the Year" for 2003. He was able to maintain a record six straight years of continuous sales growth and maintained a client list of over seventy-five active customers in more than twenty states.
In 2005, David joined AWC Packaging/Gold Coast in a sales role and spearheaded the company's efforts to expand their presence in the wine industry outside of the Temecula region. In 2007, the company purchased an HP Indigo press along with a Cartes foil stamping/embossing press and David was asked to use his extensive experience to manage this expansion by becoming the Director of Manufacturing.
David has a Bachelor of Science in Management from San Diego State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Argyros School of Business and Economics at Chapman University. In his free time he can be found underwater, scuba diving in a tropical locale.
